BCA CWRS CoreTrade Application Fee
With effect from 1 October 2018, a non-refundable application fee of $15 will be required for the application and renewal of CoreTrade registration.

Funding support for foreign personnel has ceased on 31 May 2020. Only local personnel are eligible for training fund support if they meet the criteria. Firms must apply for the funding support on behalf of their employees before commencement of the course.

To improve the skill standard for Enhanced Aluminium Formwork Trade, practical test revised by BCA would be implemented from 1 May 2018 onwards.

CoreTrade Tradesman who has passed the skills assessment (SA), in Aluminium Formwork or System Formwork Installation, before 01 Jan 2016 and wishes to upgrade to Trade Foreman now is required to undergo the relevant training and pass its practical and theoretical SA.

With effect from 01 January 2016, Tradesmen for Aluminium Formwork, which covers only the practical test component, would be incorporating a written test component comprising of 10 safety-related multiple-choice questions to be completed in 20 minutes.
